Returns & Exchanges

Your complete satisfaction is one of our priorities. We understand that it may be possible that one of the items you ordered online does not meet your expectations or simply does not fit your sailboat. No problem at all! We want to make sure that your experience with Uminody is as satisfying as possible and will do our utmost to help you and accompany you in order to satisfy your request.

You have the option of returning your order within 14 days of receipt of your package. In order to make this process as simple as possible, we invite you to contact us via the form below to obtain a return number and to indicate whether you wish to return or exchange your product. Beyond this 14-day period, your product will not be eligible for a return or exchange. However, we invite you to contact us to discuss if a solution can be found together.

Conditions

To be eligible, your product:

  • Must have been received within 14 days prior to your claim.
  • Must be packed in its original packaging
  • Must be complete
  • Must not have been installed or used
  • Must not be damaged
  • Must have a return number
  • Must not to have been the subject of a promotion at the time of purchase

The following products are not eligible for return or exchange:

  • Products that have been custom made
  • Products that have been assemble or manufactured as per customer specifications
 

The costs and liabilities for the return of the products are the responsibility of the customer. It is up to the customer to select the most appropriate means of transport, and to pack the product with the greatest care, taking into account its fragility. A product that does not meet the conditions of return or that is damaged, particularly by the fact of transport, would waive it from being eligible for a refund. We invite you to properly insure the product by declaring a value as it results from the purchase invoice, taking care to ensure perfect insurance coverage of the risks of return, in relation to this purchase amount.

The shipping costs of the product will not be reimbursed. The costs of returning the exchanged product will also be borne by the customer. In the case of an exchange, and if you are bound by short deadlines, it may be appropriate to place a new order so as not to be penalized by the delays that this return process may take.

Process

  1. Fill out the form below to inform us of your wish to return or exchange your order
  2. You will receive a form with an authorized return number from us by email
  3. Print out the return form and include it with your packages
  4. Upon receipt of your package, we will inspect the parts. If the products comply with the criteria listed above, we will proceed to refund or exchange your order as soon as possible.
 

Note: Packages that do not have a return number clearly visible on the package may be refused and returned directly to the sender’s address.
